White cabbage is a versatile vegetable that is very popular in our region. It has a fresh, crunchy texture and a mild flavour. The cabbage can be prepared in various ways, from raw in salads to cooked in stews. The most well-known dish with white cabbage is coleslaw.
White cabbage is sensitive to ethylene gas. Do not store it next to ethylene-producing fruits like apples, pears, and tomatoes to prevent faster wilting.
Leave the outer leaves intact, as they protect the inside from damage and drying out. Only remove damaged leaves for a cleaner presentation.
Be careful when stacking cabbages to avoid damaging the outer leaves.
Our white cabbage is grown outdoors, which means the cabbages grow in the open air, without the protection of greenhouses or tunnels. This method of cultivation allows the cabbage to grow and develop naturally, preserving its pure and authentic flavour. Growing the cabbages in open ground allows them to take full advantage of the sun, rain and wind, resulting in a healthy and flavourful vegetable.
