The IFS certificate demonstrates that our processes meet the highest standards for food safety and quality. This certificate helps us meet the expectations of German and French retailers as well as consumers.

BRC Storage and distribution

The BRC certificate guarantees that food safety is maintained at the highest level. BRC is the standard for UK retailers. In the food industry, a company with BRC certification is recognised as a supplier that provides guarantees in terms of food safety, traceability and quality.

Self-Checking System

Our Self-Checking System ensures that we comply with Belgian regulations on food safety. This system helps us continuously guarantee the quality of our products. All potential hazards that may arise during the production and distribution process must be managed in a responsible and feasible way. This system is essential for ensuring food safety and minimising health risks.

Flandria Quality Label

The Flandria quality label stands for high-quality fruit and vegetables grown with respect for the environment. This label is recognised for its strict requirements in terms of sustainability and quality.

EU Organic Label

The EU Organic Label indicates that our organic products comply with strict European regulations on organic farming. This means that our products are grown without the use of chemical pesticides and artificial fertilisers.

QS System

The QS (Qualität und Sicherheit) certificate is a valuable certification representing quality and food safety standards and ensuring transparent traceability throughout the entire production and distribution chain.

Chain of Custody

The CoC certificate guarantees the traceability of certified products throughout the supply chain. The certificate sets strict requirements for the use of certified products and ensures traceability from grower to consumer. This means our customers can have confidence in the origin and quality of the products.

SDG Champion

This certificate shows that we contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It demonstrates our commitment to making a positive impact on people and the environment.

VCDO

With the VCDO (Flemish Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship), we demonstrate our commitment to sustainable business practices. We continuously strive to improve our environmental performance, social responsibility and economic performance.

SBTi

BelOrta’s commitment to the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) confirms that its climate ambitions are based on scientifically validated targets. Since 2020, BelOrta has calculated its CO₂ emissions annually and closely monitored its progress. The reduction plan approved by the SBTi sets out BelOrta’s aim to reduce its CO₂ emissions by 42% by 2030 compared with 2020. In doing so, BelOrta actively contributes to global efforts to limit global warming.

EcoVadis

EcoVadis is an internationally recognised platform that assesses companies on their sustainability performance. The assessment covers four themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
