The locally grown Braeburn is a firm, crisp and lightly sweet apple variety that originally comes from from New Zealand. Its name comes from the spot where the first Braeburns were picked. It shows a brown-red blush over a yellow background and its flesh is slightly grainier. One great advantage of the Braeburn is that it stays fresh for a long time without going soft, so you can enjoy it for even longer!
Apples give off ethylene gas, which speeds up the ripening of other fruit and veg. Keep them apart to prevent unwanted ripening.
Our Braeburn apples are grown in orchards using traditional cultivation methods. This means the trees are carefully maintained and pruned regularly to ensure optimal growth and fruitfulness. Thanks to this approach, we can produce high-quality apples that meet BelOrta’s strict standards. That way, you can always enjoy delicious, juicy apples from right here in your region.
Braeburn is also available organically.
